Mini Kansa Wand
€29,00
Unit price perThe Mini Kansa Wand is cast from classical Kansa, a copper-tin bronze used in Ayurvedic facial practice for centuries. The dome is intentionally small sized to follow the orbital bone, reach the brow ridge, settle into the temple, and work the four marma points around the eye that a larger tool cannot address with precision.
Kansa has a naturally cooling quality. In Ayurveda, this is associated with calming Pitta, the accumulated heat that shows around the eyes as puffiness, sensitivity, and a dull, uneven complexion. Used with a face oil in slow, deliberate circles, the dome draws that heat outward and helps the oil absorb more completely than applying by hand.
This is the tool used in Netra Abhyanga, the traditional Ayurvedic eye-area ritual. At home, practiced for five minutes each morning or evening, it is one of the more quietly effective habits you can build into a daily routine.
What the Mini Kansa Wand Does
- The Mini Kansa Wand follows the orbital bone and reaches the under-eye, brow ridge, outer eye corner, and sides of the nose — areas where the four primary facial marma points are located
- Kansa has a naturally cooling quality. In Ayurveda, this is traditionally associated with calming Pitta, the accumulated heat that shows around the eyes as puffiness and sensitivity
- Used with a face oil, the slow circular movement helps the oil absorb more deeply into the skin than applying by hand
- The grey-green tint that may appear during use is a natural reaction between the metal, the oil, and the skin's pH. It is not harmful and wipes away easily. It is also the sign of real, uncoated Kansa
- The tool is compact and travels well. It is suitable for both a full daily ritual and a focused five-minute practice
Your Netra Abhyanga Ritual
Begin with clean skin. Warm 2 to 3 drops of face oil between your fingers and apply gently around the eye area and across the brow. Use the ring finger, it applies the least natural pressure, which is correct for work near the eye.
Place the dome at the inner corner of the under-eye. Move outward slowly toward the temple, following the curve of the bone. Three passes in each direction. Move up to the brow ridge and repeat. Work the temple in small slow circles. Then move to the side of the nose.
Return to the midpoint between the eyebrows — Sthapani, the central marma point of the face — and hold the dome there for one breath before lifting.
Finish with slow strokes from the centre of the forehead toward each temple.
Five minutes. Clean the dome with a soft damp cloth and dry before storing.
The Mini Wand Works With Oil. These Are Our Recommendations.
Four Marma Points. One Dome Built to Reach Them.
Marma points are anatomical junctions identified in classical Ayurvedic medicine where prana — vital energy — is said to concentrate. Eight marma points sit on the face. Four of them are located in and around the eye area. The Mini Kansa Wand dome is sized to reach each one precisely.
Sthapani — between the eyebrows, at the top of the nose bridge
Apply light pressure with the dome. Use a slow circular movement.
Avarta — along the brow ridge, above each eye
Work from the inner corner outward, following the bone.
Apanga — the outer corner of each eye
Use small slow circles at the edge of the orbital bone.
Phana — on either side of the nostrils
The dome fits the curved surface here. Light pressure, three to five slow rotations per side.
For those who use the Double Sided Kansa Wand for the jaw, cheeks, and forehead — the Mini Wand completes the ritual. These four points are where the full practice finishes.
Care and Longevity
Wipe the dome with a soft damp cloth after every use. Dry it fully before storing. Do not leave oil on the surface and avoid prolonged contact with water.
The metal develops a natural patina over time. This is the normal character of real Kansa bronze, not damage or deterioration. The tool has no coating and no composite material, there is nothing to wear away.
Store in the pouch provided, or in any dry place away from humidity. With correct care, this tool will last for many years.
